The Journal of Clinical Pediatrics (ISSN 1000-3606, CN 31-1377/R) is a pediatric academic periodical sponsored by Shanghai Institute for Pediatric Research, Xinhua Hospital, and Shanghai Children’s Medical Center affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, which is a very famous base for the training of pediatric professionals in China.
The Journal of Clinical Pediatrics is established in 1983 supported by the Pediatric great master, Professor GAO Jing-lang (1892~1983). There are one chief editor and thirteen vice-chief editors. The chief editor, Prof. WU Sheng-mei, is a famous Pediatric Professor and Neonatologist. She has ever been as the chairman of Shanghai Perinatal Society and the director of the Xinhua Hospital. The editorial board consists of more than 200 famous Chinese and oversea professors and specialists in the field of Pediatrics.
There are a popular circulation of the journal in China and abundant manuscripts for the journal submitted from the nationwide areas of China including Hong Kong and Macao. Based on the “Research report for citation of periodicals in China during 2003~2004” （published in 2005） provided by the Institute of Scientific & Technical Information of China and Wanfang Data Co. LTD, the Impact Factor of the Journal of Clinical Pediatrics is 0.699 and the Total Citations is 1431. The publication is arranged according to the international standard. The English information of the journal includes the page of English copyright, the English abstracts of original articles and the English catalog. The Journal belongs to the periodicals of cited source of scientific and technological paper in China, and is indexed by Chemical Abstract (CA), Abstract Journal (AJ), Index Copernicus (IC), and all national electronic retrieval institutions. The journal has ever been awarded “the Prize of Outstanding Periodical in East of China” issued by the evaluation committee of outstanding periodicals in east of China, and “the Third-Class Prize of Outstanding Science & Technology Periodicals in Shanghai” issued by the evaluation group of science & technology periodicals in Shanghai, etc.
